* If you compare the raw packets with similar data from other websites it may differ (especially the path), the reason is that we are not collecting packets from the same APRS-IS servers. Each APRS-IS server performes duplicate filtering, and which packet that is considered to be a duplicate may differ depending on which APRS-IS server you receive your data from.

What's New

The site has been updated to fix several issues which were reported by users today.

Broken Links
We soft-launched a new URL rewriting algorithm yesterday to reduce duplicate pages on the major search engines. That didn't quite work as well as expected and resulted in many broken links throughout the site. Most, if not all of the issues caused by this have now been fixed.

Search Fixes
The APRS portion of the search engine was broken by some a set of fixes that were released yesterday. Those issues have been corrected.

Speed Reporting Fix
Uncompressed position packets containing course/speed information were being incorrectly parsed and displayed. This has been resolved and archived data is being corrected. Legacy data should be accurate within 24 hours.

Improved Connection Recovery
The site application should recover more quickly and silently from brief losses in the connection back to our servers. Additionally, the reconnection mechanism has been improved for browsers that put background pages to sleep.
